Kate Middleton | Wedding Dress Revealed

Kate Middleton wedding dress predicted to be the one design of Phillipa Lepley? according to Prince's Diana wedding dress designer the gown for Kate should be in simple and elegant design but still remains the strong silhoutte. Probably classic but with a bit of an edge to it, since she’s got a good fashion sense. She is certainly on her way to being a style icon, I imagine she will be.”

Simple yet elegant: Rumor has it that Kate Middleton has picked British designer-to-the-stars Phillipa Lepley to create her wedding gown. Romantic flowers, majestic ballgowns and twinkly vintage lace are the way a British magazine described Phillipa Lepley's 2011 bridal collection.

With British bookmakers betting on Lepley, according to PEOPLE, what will the London-based haute couture designer do for Middleton when she marries Prince William next year?

"Kate will want to look drop dead elegant yet not over the top," a fashion source tells PopEater.

So far, reps for Lepley have made no comment, but the Brits are abuzz over the designer who may create the wedding gown for England's future princess.

According to UK's Daily Mail, Lepley, 41, is known for her "simple yet elegant bridal gowns using luxurious fabrics and delicate lace." In 1990, she opened her first bridal shop in London's central Chelsea section.

British based celebrities like Davina McCall, an actress and TV personality, and Ulrika Jonsson, a Swedish born TV presenter, wore Lepley gowns when they were married.

"Kate always looks well put together," another fashion source tells PopEater. "She is a beautiful woman with a good body and perfect sense of style."

According to the Mail, another designer on the short list is Daniella Issa Helayel, who created the stunning blue dress worn by Middleton when she announced her engagement to Prince William.

The Brazilian born designer specializes in sexy Diane von Furstenberg-style wrap dresses and has a heavy duty A-list celeb clientele, which includes Scarlett Johansson, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Minogue.

A third possibility is Elizabeth Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana's wedding gown with her husband in 1981 when she married Prince Charles.

"Whoever Kate picks to design her wedding gown will become an instant star copied the world over," says the source.

Will Kate Middleton Wearing Britain's Designer for Wedding Dress ?

Finally! Prince William and Kate Middleton have officially announced their engagement, after years of dating and much public speculation. They became officially engaged on a vacation in Kenya last month. Prince Charles confirmed the announcement, then in a move typical of this digital age, tweeted about it (the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh tweeted their delight shortly after). It's clear this will be the wedding to watch in 2011!

The young couple are set to wed in spring or summer, although no official plans have been announced. William and Kate have been dating for a long time, after meeting each other while studying at St. Andrews in Scotland. She's been the most high-profile royal girlfriend in history, and will be the first princess to be what Brits call a commoner, or having no aristrocratic lineage. The wedding is going to be a huge event, but it's not likely to be of the same scale as William's parents, the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

Many are already speculating as to what Kate will be wearing when she walks down the aisle and officially becomes HRH Princess Catherine of Wales. Vogue UK suspects it'll be a British designer, but wonders whether she'll choose to go with a more traditional Bruce Oldfield, who creates bespoke gowns for royalty, or opt for a younger, hipper design from Alice Temperly or Jenny Packham.
