Kate Middleton - Who is Designer Will be in Honor to Design Her Wedding Dress ?
Posted by Evi Manis at 5:22 PMSimple yet elegant: Rumor has it that Kate Middleton has picked British designer-to-the-stars Phillipa Lepley to create her wedding gown. Romantic flowers, majestic ballgowns and twinkly vintage lace are the way a British magazine described Phillipa Lepley's 2011 bridal collection.
With British bookmakers betting on Lepley, according to PEOPLE, what will the London-based haute couture designer do for Middleton when she marries Prince William next year?
"Kate will want to look drop dead elegant yet not over the top," a fashion source tells PopEater.
So far, reps for Lepley have made no comment, but the Brits are abuzz over the designer who may create the wedding gown for England's future princess.
According to UK's Daily Mail, Lepley, 41, is known for her "simple yet elegant bridal gowns using luxurious fabrics and delicate lace." In 1990, she opened her first bridal shop in London's central Chelsea section.
British based celebrities like Davina McCall, an actress and TV personality, and Ulrika Jonsson, a Swedish born TV presenter, wore Lepley gowns when they were married.
"Kate always looks well put together," another fashion source tells PopEater. "She is a beautiful woman with a good body and perfect sense of style."
According to the Mail, another designer on the short list is Daniella Issa Helayel, who created the stunning blue dress worn by Middleton when she announced her engagement to Prince William.
The Brazilian born designer specializes in sexy Diane von Furstenberg-style wrap dresses and has a heavy duty A-list celeb clientele, which includes Scarlett Johansson, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Minogue.
A third possibility is Elizabeth Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana's wedding gown with her husband in 1981 when she married Prince Charles.
"Whoever Kate picks to design her wedding gown will become an instant star copied the world over," says the source.

NEWs : Prince William + Kate Middleton, Engagement Ring from Princess Diana
Posted by Evi Manis at 5:34 AMPrince William and Kate Middleton met the press on Tuesday at St. James Palace in London, making their first public appearance after announcing their engagement. "Blimey," said William as he faced a torrent of camera flashes Tuesday at St. James's Palace. He wore a navy suit, while Middleton donned a simple blue dress.
Middleton acknowledged that being queen was "a daunting prospect."
"Hopefully I'll take it in my stride," she said.
Middleton described the proposal this way: "It was very romantic, and it was very personal." She declined to say whether the prince had gone down on bended knee when he proposed.
While she stayed mum on the details, William did open up about one thing - the engagement ring that he gave her. The oval blue sapphire surrounded by diamonds, from the jeweler Garrard, was once worn by his mother, Princess Diana.
"This was my way of making sure that my mother didn't miss out on today," he said.
William proposed during a holiday in Kenya last month. The couple plans to marry next year.
The two met as freshmen at the University of St. Andrew's in Scotland, starting out as just friends but quickly becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.
"Obviously we both have a very fun time together, both have a very good sense of humor about things, we're down to earth, we take the mickey out of each other a lot, and she's got plenty of habits that make me laugh that I tease her about," William said as he and Middleton faced photographers Tuesday. "She has habits that can make me laugh."
